Does forwarding affect my phone bill?
When forwarding your calls to SAS, having a calling plan for your landline or mobile phone that includes unlimited minutes would be ideal.
For example, let’s say that your mobile plan has a finite minute allowance every month. If you are forwarding your cell phone to a local or toll-free number and your mobile provider charges for usage on each call, then depending on your call volume, you could quickly accrue minutes above and beyond your monthly allowance. This may result in significant, unexpected charges.
If you are unable to sign up for an unlimited number of minutes on your landline or mobile phone account, SAS can provide you with a toll-free number that you can use for advertising purposes, eliminating the need for you to forward your phones. In this way, you can bypass additional monthly charges from your phone service provider, and having a toll-free number offers greater convenience to your customers.
NOTE: Any numbers that SAS provides are non-transferable. Should you choose to leave service, you will not be able to retain the number(s).
Toll-free numbers may be available in the following exchanges: 844, 855, 866, and 877. For more information on getting a toll-free number for your business, contact our Customer Service department.
