Setting Up an Outbound Mailbox in SAS Flex

An Outbound Mailbox is a feature within your SAS Flex portal that allows our system to send emails to your customers after a call has ended. For example, a medical practice may want to send their patients an appointment confirmation email, and other businesses may want to send a follow-up survey. The Outbound Mailbox allows you to “mask” where the email is coming from, so that customers think it is coming straight from your office instead of through your answering service.

In this article we'll discuss:

Adding an Outbound Mailbox

1
Within SAS Flex, go to your User icon in the upper right-hand corner and click Settings

2
On the main Settings page, select Outbound Mailbox.

3
Click the Add mailbox button as shown below.

4
Next, you’ll need to fill out the From Name and Reply To fields in the pop-up window that appears on your page. The From Name field would be the name you want to show up as the sender of the email, and the Reply To field would be the email address you would want recipients to reply to.

If you do not want your callers to be able to respond to an email, you will want to add a “no reply” address in the Reply To field. Both fields need to be added in order to save your Outbound Mailbox.

Editing or Removing Outbound Mailboxes

If an Outbound Mailbox is no longer necessary or needs to be updated, you can edit or delete it by clicking on the 3-dot menu icon on the right-hand side of the Outbound Mailbox menu page.
