How to Troubleshoot Google Sheets Issues
If you're configuring the Google Sheets integration, you'll also need to configure Custom Mappings. Custom Mappings allows the information that we gather on our side from callers to push through over to your worksheet, and populate in the corresponding columns. However, if your worksheet or Custom Mappings are not configured properly, you may see that the data doesn't send or match up correctly.
In this tutorial we'll show you:
Creating a Test Sheet
1
Within your Google Sheets account, create a new sheet titled
SAS. Do not add any formatting along the top column, just simple names (First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email), and do not add any other worksheets.
2
In your SAS Flex portal, go to the Integration tab and select the Google Sheets app. Then, click
Add to create a new configuration on the Google Sheets main page.
3
Find the new sheet you created in the dropdown and map the 4 columns as
Text. It will look like the following:
4
Back on the main configuration page, click the 3-dot menu icon to the right and select
Send Test.
5
All of the fields should be pre-filled in based on the data you entered in step 3. Just press the blue
Test your request button, then check your Google Sheet to confirm the data pushed over successfully.
Once you verify the above is working, you will need to start with a fresh Google Sheet and gradually add mapping or enhancements one by one to see where the problem is. Continue using the Send Test tool and send data that way to troubleshoot any issues.
