What is an Additional Line?
Additional Lines can be added to any business on our SAS Flex platform. They're typically used if a company has multiple locations or departments, but can also be used for tracking specific advertising efforts, or for marketing firms that create individual campaigns for different clients. Here are the basics:
- Additional Lines are billed under the same parent company.
- Additional Lines can be attached to Scripts, or Advanced Front-End IVRs.
- Each Additional Line incurs a $10.00 monthly fee.
- You will be given a local or toll-free number for each Additional Line you create.
- Note that if you request a toll-free number and select to have messages texted to you, SMS messages may not always go through.
- If you request to have a true 800 number (800 is the prefix), there is an additional $25 fee associated. Note that this feature is only available for clients on our Flex Billing platform.
- There is a minimum of 5 minutes of programming fees for an Additional Line (possibly more depending on the complexity of the account).
- There is no limit to how many Additional Lines you can have. If you are on our Flex billing platform, you are able to add your own additional line right from your online portal.
- No matter how many Additional Lines you set up, all usage and fees will be billed under your main account.
- Unlike the plan base rate, which may be prorated depending on when your account is established during the billing cycle, Additional Line fees are not prorated.
- Additional Line fees are due on receipt.
- If you are setting up a Spanish Additional Line for your bilingual callers, you may choose to add a simple IVR to your line which would allow callers to press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish.
Call history, messages and recordings for Additional Lines can be accessed by logging in to your secure web portal.
